Learning Lighthouse Dyslexia
We provide comprehensive diagnostic assessments, dyslexia screeners and personalised tuition for children and young people experiencing literacy difficulties. Identifying learning differences early can help build confidence, support progress, and improve wellbeing. A formal diagnosis enables families and schools to access the appropriate support, including examination access arrangements where needed. We work face to face with children and young people in Saddleworth, Oldham, Tameside, Rochdale and surrounding areas.

Expert Dyslexia Assessments
Supporting children and young people aged 8–16 through specialist diagnostic assessments that build a detailed understanding of individual learning strengths and difficulties. Through a comprehensive review of educational history, standardised diagnostic testing, and careful analysis of assessment findings, we provide clear recommendations to support progress at school, home, and beyond.
What to Expect
A typical diagnostic session lasts around 3 hours. We explore literacy attainment, phonics, language, speed of processing, and cognitive skills in a supportive 1:1 environment, tailored to your child's needs.
Next Steps
Following the session, we provide a full AMBDA/APC certified diagnostic report. We also offer a feedback session to discuss findings and provide practical advice for home and school strategies.
Specialist Tuition
We offer tailored specialist tuition designed to meet each child’s individual learning needs. Our evidence-based approach helps develop literacy skills, build confidence, and support children to become more independent learners while making meaningful progress.
